Introduction: If you were to google “All I Want For Christmas” you would find a link to Mariah Cary’s hit that debuted 25 years ago
Lyrics:
don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true oh
All I want for Christmas is you
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need, and I
Don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
------------------------------
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
I won't ask for much this Christmas
I just wanna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake
To hear those magic reindeer click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
my door
Oh, Baby all I want for Christmas is you
All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me
The one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me quickly
I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just wanna see my baby
Standing right outside my door
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas is you
All I want for Christmas is you, baby
Those are the lyrics from the first verse of Mariah Carey’s hit song “All I Want For Christmas Is You)
A few days ago the Newspaper USA Today published an article in which they said:
Christmas came two days early when Mariah Carey gave us all something we never knew we needed – a star-studded music video for "All I Want For Christmas is You."
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Carey's Christmas tune
Tyler Perry kicks off the video, sitting at a piano and jokingly butchering Carey's name before the video shows clips of Ryan Reynolds, James Corden and many other A-listers singing along.
The video includes home videos from the Kardashians, Laverne Cox and Tracee Ellis Ross and others singing along to "All I Want For Christmas is You."
The music video ends with Carey's 8-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, dancing.
Carey shared the video in a tweet thanking her celebrity friends for participating.
"WOW!
This is one of the best Christmas gifts I could ever have gotten.
I am so thankful to all of my friends and favorite artists who participated in this video," the Grammy-award winning artist wrote.
"You brought a huge smile to my face.
THANK YOU!"
Carey’s holiday song has been a cultural favorite for years but achieved chart success only in recent years.
It first entered the Top 10 songs in 2017 and reached its previous high of No. 3 last year.
It’s only the second Christmas song to reach the top spot, joining The Chipmunks' "The Chipmunk Song" (with David Seville), which ruled for four weeks in 1958-59, according to Billboard.

Speaking with USA TODAY last month, Carey reflected on her song reaching 25 years of air time.
"It's so funny, somebody was just asking me, 'What were you doing 25 Christmases ago?' " Carey, 49, said.
"I would probably say somebody was giving me a bottle and they were singing me a sweet lullaby Christmas tune.
Because I was just 1 year old, so I don't know!
"It's very much like I live in the land of the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus," she said wryly.
"I don't acknowledge time, I don't know what it is.
I rebuke it!"
But I wonder if Jesus were singing the song today,
what would Jesus say?
What would Jesus want for Christmas today?
Especially when you consider today is the day we celebrate Jesus’ birthday
Better yet, what would be Jesus response to God the Father’s question in our text this morning-
Let me tell you what God said next.
He said, “You’re my son,
And today is your birthday.
What do you want?
