Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Isaiah 6:1-5 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

The Height of the Throne

Isaiah 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible says, about a throne: Elevated, ceremonial chair, its height symbolized the importance and the authority of the person seated on it.
God is high and lifted up, because he is GOD. He is worthy of our praise and worship.
Psalm 113:5-6 Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, 6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
Ironic: God is exalted, but humble…man is lowly, but proud (shame).
Did you ever wonder why some people never get exalted? They couldn’t handle it.
Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
Some people stay poor for their OWN GOOD, think about that...
Money is not the answer to all of life’s problems, more money could quickly accelerate your problems.
You don’t need more money, you need more WISDOM.
You don’t need more money, you need more BIBLE.
You don’t need more money, you need the GRACE of God.
You don’t need more money, you need PRAYER.
You don’t need more money, you need SALVATION in Christ.
Now is the time to reevaluate our life, and make the necessary changes.
We want God to bless our life, let’s make sure our life is bless-able. Are you right with God?
Isaiah 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up...
Psalm 103:19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Man rebels against god’s authority, just like SATAN, that is why the lost are not the children of God, they are seed of Satan.
Psalm 2:1-4 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Notice here how Lucifer wanted to be “above God”…the height represents the authority.
Isaiah 14:12-15 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Review: The Height of the Throne

The Holiness of the Throne

Psalm 47:8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
Isaiah 6:1-3 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
God’s holiness caused the seraphims to cover their face and feet.
Habakkuk 1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
