Aliens – The Reward in God’s Plan

Introduction

Christianity makes us different!
So many times we look at the hassles we will get from our “friends”
*Luke 6:22* - /22  " Blessed are you when men hate you, and *ostracize you, and insult you*, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man./
It doesn’t say feel blessed…
We are BLESSED by seeing these people as they really are!
Are these people really our friends if they are willing to ridicule us or insult us?
Does that define “cool”?
Is that showing friendship?
We are aliens in the world

*1 Peter 2:9-11* - /9 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION,A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10  for you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY.
11  Beloved, I urge you *as aliens and strangers* to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul./

We also tend to look at the “fun” we are missing out on
1 John 5:3 - /3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and *His commandments are not burdensome*./
If we live by God’s commands is being out of place all we get?
So what is the reward for being an alien?
Living as an alien in this world?
