Think about a temple and its purpose. It is the place where God "resides" here on earth, where Heaven and earth overlap, it's where one can meet with Almighty God. The temple was a holy place because God made it so. In Ephesians 2, the Apostle Paul talks one body and that we are fellow saints and citizens of a Kingdom; we are part of the household of God. But he ends by saying we grow "into a holy temple in the Lord" The temple is the fourth and final image we are looking at in this series.
