Our Focus Tonight

Ephesians 4:11 ESV
11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,
We are looking at pages 26-28 in the workbook, then will try, Lord willing to pull answers for the questions on pg. 29.
Someone look at pg. 26, what is the definition of evangelist (Euangelistes) in the Greek
So, stop, we must stop, what is the good news, or good tidings?

1 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

Notes on personable: they are the go-getter that does not take “no” for an answer . They have the good news and do not want anyone to miss it. They are prepared with the evidence to prove it too.
Notes on motivating: They are passionate about the gospel and want to share with others and press for a decision to accept or reject
They are vocal slide
Notes: They do not want to be distracted, and are not easily distracted from fruitless discussions, they keep the main thing, the first thing, the gospel first and foremost.
Signs of immaturity slide one
Notes on Emotional: they can easily be overtaken by their emotions and at times they may loose sight that others may not have the same passion and it could be detouring and not inviting.
Notes on Impulsive/Intense: They push people , force people instead of allowing people to come to the cross. They may tend to cut people off instead of listening for understanding. Then help them gently come to the cross.
