The Setting for this passage

What Does This Teach Us About God?
He doesn’t expect us to “clean up” our life and THEN come to him!

The turning point in our relationship with God happened because He demonstrated/proved/showed His love for us.
We never proved anything to God
The work of Christ, and the Covenant of Redemption, happened because of the love of our God.

We are to rejoice in God through Christ (v.
