Introduction
Introduction
My message this morning is entitled:
I. A Faith Without Works
I. A Faith Without Works
My text is found in: John 2:14-26
What good is it if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions
Can that kind of faith save anyone?
If you see a brother or sister with no food or clothing,
and you say “good-bye, have a good day, stay warm & eat well”
And you don’t give that person any food or clothing, What good does that do?
Which brings us to our main text
17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
3. Some people may have faith and others have good deeds (Vs.18)
a. How can you show me your faith if you don't have good deeds?
b. I will show you my faith by my good deeds
4. So you believe that there is one God. (Vs. 19)
a. Good for you! Even the demons believe this
5. Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless? (Vs. 20)
What we need is ...
II. A Faith Like Abraham
II. A Faith Like Abraham
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
Abraham was shown to be righteousness before God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar
His faith and actions work together, His actions made his faith complete (Vs. 22)
Scripture says Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith, and he was called the friend of God. (Vs. 23)
In other words, we are shown to be right with God … by what we do, not by faith alone.
So what do we need?
III. A Faith That Works Together Is Active
III. A Faith That Works Together Is Active
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Active faith is the pathway to miracles
Faith Inevitably calls us toward action, to the work within faith (lights, Camera, Action)
Some of you, are seeking the perfect will of God for your lives or ministries,
God opens unexpected doors intended to usher us into His destiny for our lives.
When God opens a door, it’s time move forward!
When God presents a clear divinely given opportunity, act on it!
in the book of Revelation He gives an example of an open door.
8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
4. In this Scripture He is talking about the faithful church, the church of Philadelphia.
During this church age from Pentecost to the rapture, we are the ones identified as the church of Philadelphia.
The open door here is describing the rapture which takes place in 4th chapter of Revelation
After the fourth chapter of Revelation the church is no longer mentioned, we have been raptured.
Remember, A faith that works together Is Active
Conclusion
Conclusion
In any relationship, Having faith that the relationship will be successful Is not enough. You need to Actively work on it:
communicating:
listen more than you speak
Control your emotions
Pay attention to nonverbal signs
Establishing Trust (not only say what you do, but do what you say)
Value long-term relationships
Be honest
Admit when you’re wrong
Be helpful
show that you care

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
As we bow our heads:
If you’d would like to receive “This Crazy Awesome Love” today, please pray this prayer
Lord I believe that Jesus is the son of God, and that He died On the cross for my sins and His resurrection from the dead gives me eternal life. I ask forgiveness of my sins, and I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Faith Vision Family & Friends, I have a Decision to make, and I would like your input on the matter.
As you know I never finished teaching the book of Revelation
How many would like me to continue teaching in Revelation?
How many would like me to continue teaching as I have been and include Revelation on another night during the week? (like a Thursday night)
Note: if this would be your choice, it wouldn’t take place until after I Graduate in January.
Thank you for your input!

7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
