I think that I have a very intriguing and interesting subject today because of the day, what we're going to talk about the title of this sermon is do I have a guardian angel.
Do I have a guardian angel?
Now many people today think that that we all have a personal, Angel assigned to us?
And that when we get in trouble or when we have a need that God will send that angel to us to help us in our need.
Now.
Let me say the Bible.
We've already looked at many scriptures that talk about angels and what they do.
And we already know that angels are very prevalent.
They were very prevalent in the lives of Old Testament Saints in the lives of New Testament Saints, and probably even in our day as well.
So we want to look at this whole concept of a guardian angel and do we have each one, an individual Angel.
So it was a full page ad.
In a specific magazine, I can't remember the name, but I wrote down the title of the ad and it was get in touch with your guardian angel.
Did you can get in touch with your guardian angel and the ad kind of promised the readers that we have our own personal spiritual guides in an angel and we can be layered to a lot of luck and happiness.
Let me tell you what the ad actually said.
I'm going to read, I wrote this.
Now.
This is what the ad said, surround yourself with true love and protection, free yourself from stress and worry, never feel alone.
Again.
He'll illness solve problems, make your personal dreams, improve your life in an astonishing way.
Well, is, is that what we look for from angels from healing and true love?
And will angels protect us.
Will they relieve stress and worry in our life?
To never feel alone.
Should I be talkin and praying to my angel?
Will my angel, keep me company?
Is, you know, is that what angels are all about?
Is this what we should be seeking and expecting from angels?
And then of course, does everyone have his own Angel to look after him?
Let me say this to begin with that.
The Bible, does it talk about angels protecting us and guarding us and delivering us and things of that nature.
So, in one sense, that's true, but let's just a broken this down today in 24 points and and hopefully, this here will give us some more clarity on Angels, especially Guardian Angel.
Say, let's look at point one in that is Angels involved with the children of God.
So does Aunt does God have angels?
Specifically for the purpose of guarding his children and what does the Bible say?
About Guardian Angels.
Well, there's an Old Testament promise that kind of says in a general way that there are Guardian Angels.
So we going to put some scriptures up on the board here and Loveland through 12 and I want you to look at this scripture at what it I know are.
There we go.
In their speaking of angels, they shall bear you up.
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Now.
Verse 11 says, he will give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your way.
He will give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your way.
Well, there's also a passage in the New Testament that seems to say.
The Angels watch and they know what we're going through.
Look at 1st Corinthians, chapter 4 and verse night.
Well, I think that God has displayed.
Display dust the apostles last as men condemned to death.
For, we have been made a spectacle to the world, both two and two men.
We have been made a spectacle to work.
So it seems to say the Angels know exactly what's going on in our lives.
And there's many incidents.
In the Bible that prove that the Angels were personally involved, Who deliver Daniel from the Lion's Den, an angel was there with Daniel in the Lion's Den, Who deliver the apostles from prison Angels.
Did, Who deliver Peter from prison Angels dead and God sent an angel to encourage Paul.
So let's look at this concept of angels, for individuals.
And let's ask the question, does each believer have his own Angel to watch over him and protect him.
Well, I have found two scriptures in the Bible that seem to point to That's not what I want you to do.
Is I want you to take your Bibles this morning, and I want you to turn to idols.
Now we're going to I'm going to look at another verse first, but I want you to turn the Acts chapter 12 cause we're coming to that but there's two scriptures in the Bible that kind of speak of guardian angels in the first one.
I want us to put on the board is Matthew chapter 18 and verse 10.
Now, this is Jesus speaking to the disciples now.
Watch what he says.
He says, take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones.
Speaking of little children, for I say to you, that in heaven, their Angels, always see the face of my father, who is in heaven?
That seems to say that these children that he's talking about.
Have Guardian Angels, because he says here because in heaven, their Angels, always see my face.
So, apparently some of God's angel are a sign to stand ready.
Before the father to instantly, calm and help.
To protect and care for God's children and God calls these angels.
And I want you to notice what he said.
He says, they're Angels plural.
He didn't say their own specific Angel for them will come and help.
He says, they're Angels plural.
So that makes it sound like that?
These children have more than one angel.
And it is poor.
Well, the second passage, that's kind of speaks of a guardian.
Angel comes from Acts chapter 12.
So I want you to look there.
You've already turned their Acts chapter 12 and let's read this passage here because this is when Peter was in prison.
And Herod was kind of persecuting the people there.
He killed James.
The brother of John and verse 2. And look at verse 3 and because he saw that it pleased the Jews.
He proceeded further to seize Peter also now that was the days of unleavened bread.
So when he had arrested him, so he had Peter arrested, he put him in prison and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him intending to bring him before.
The people after Passover verse 5, Peter was there for camp in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
Constant prayer verse six and when Harry was about to bring him out that night.
Peter was sleeping, not watch how he was sleeping here.
Bound with to change change between two soldiers and the guards before the door were keeping the prison.
So here he is asleep.
And on one hand.
He was chained to one soldier.
And the other hand, he was change to another one.
And then you had the guards outside the jail cell.
Alright verse 7 Navajo, an angel of the Lord stood by him and a light Shone in the prison.
And he struck Peter on the side and raised him up saying a rice quickly and his chains fell off his hands.
So, here's an angel Peters asleep, and he nudges him.
He said, Peter get up.
Get up.
We're leaving here right now.
