Let us remember that we believers are servants in the Lord’s work, not celebrities who are to be honored.
God knows our motives and heart.
1 Sam.
16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
God still humbles the proud and exalts the humble.
James 4:6.
Luke 14, 11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Verse 11 sums up Jesus’ point.
Jesus Himself is the living example of humility.
Philippians 2:5-8.
He humbled Himself, and God exalted Him.
