Jesus forgives

33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
2.Jesus forgives his sin first
The scribes—the theologians of the day—were thinking inwardly “That kind of talk is blasphemy; only God can forgive sins” (vv. 6, 7). Of course, they were right. On this point, their theology was correct. It was in its application and its limitations that they erred. Jesus knew what they were thinking (He still knows what every counselor/counselee thinks), and confronted them: “Why are you thinking this way?” He asked. Then He posed the question—which is easier—to forgive sins or to heal this sick man? They didn’t answer. Of course, they were thinking “It is easy to say ‘I forgive you,’ but how can we know that it is for real?” In order to prove that He had the power to forgive sins, he told the sick man to get up and take his stretcher to his house (v. 11)—which the cripple proceeded to do. Everyone in the crowd then glorified God.
3. some will cry out for physical healing while their soul is in despair
If thou bring thy sins to Jesus Christ, as thy malady and misery to be cured of, and delivered from, it is well; but to come with them, as thy darlings and delight, thinking still to retain them and receive him, is a gross mistake, a miserable delusion.
