Proper things for sound doctrine
Titus is being given instructions for the church at Crete and we are able to learn and apply the instructions given to help us to grow a healthy church for the Lord.
What is the instruction given (Tit2:1)?
This is doctrine that is fitting, that is spiritually healthy and wholesome that will equip and enable the body to grow.
Previously we have looked at Older men, and Older women
Qualities like being temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, love, in perseverance.
Then went on to the women to be reverent, don’t gossip, or drink much wine, be a teacher of what is good.
(Transition) - So we have the sound doctrine, we have the people, older, younger, now we have the reason and the application what we are looking at today and next week.
Gleaning from the scripture (Tit2:4-5)
What are they (older women) supposed to do (v.4-5)?
What is the reason seen in (v.5)?
(Transition) Having these things in mind, here is the hope for this morning that we will be looking at, very similar at what we looked at with older men.
Conduct becoming younger women.
Biblical examples of godly younger women.
Conduct becoming younger women
I think we have defined conduct before, but in case not, here is definition:the manner in which a person behaves, especially on a particular occasion or in a particular context.
So conduct is all about application!
Conduct becoming of a younger woman by instructions of the Word and older women by teaching and by example.
To love their husbands and their children.
(Tit2:4-5)
This is Greek word “philandros” and it is the only time used in the N.T. and it is defined as
5362 phílandros (from 5384 /phílos, "loving friend" and 435 /anḗr, "husband, the male companion of a wife") – properly, the special affection of a woman for her life-time mate (husband), embracing him as her "calling" (stewardship) from God (used only in Tit 2:4).
Younger women who are married are to have a special affection for husband, given from God, and in turn affection for children too.
Now, this should be natural, right?
But look at this
Without understanding that it is a gift from God that you are given stewardship over, it could turn to be unloving, unmerciful, couldn’t it?
But hold on, this is something that can be taught by older women, to have understanding and application.
So, if anyone, lacks in this area, again our focus is on younger women this morning, it can be relearned in a biblical fashion.
Next in looking at (v.3; this time using NKJV)
This goes hand in had with (v.2) addressed to older men, but here in (v.3) says likewise so it is the same type of reverent, chase behavior
Discrete is translated from temperate
Which links with sober, temperate and of a sound mind.
The Complete word bible dictionary says

Some versions like the NASB say’s subject to husbands.
It means “to subject oneself, place oneself in submission.”
TCWD
Biblical examples of obedience, submissive, being subject to:
But if you were to look back one verse it says Eph5:21 “21 and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.”
So in Ephesians do it as to the Lord, in Colossians it is fitting in the Lord.
In Peter it is so it can be a salvation thing!
Yes there is equality spiritually between men, women, slave, free.
Thought better to give you the verse, for this verse is taken and twisted to mean something other than what it says (expand briefly)
Submission is a virtue that is enjoined to all Christians like mentioned in (Eph5:21) and maybe even consider
Examples, everyone loves good examples and the bible is full of them, so now may we take some time and look at some.
