The more that we focus on our personal victory over God’s, the more we weaken the victory of God through Jesus Christ that has already been given to us.
Our victory over sin was never meant to be a reflection of our Victory, it was meant to be a reflection of God’s victory through Christ.
Whose victory do you seek, yours or God’s?

Do you want victory to be the character of your Christian life, focus on obedience and your desire to please God instead of your personal victory. Doing so puts the emphasis where it belongs and keeps God the priority in our lives. Doing so peals back the darkness of this sin cursed world and shines God light on and through us to a world that is just feeling its way through the darkness of life.
