And as we come together, that we are just rejoicing together as we look at the truth of God's word.
And as we have already, been opening up this letter Peter as if you seen has so beautifully and passionately, been describing this salvation that you and I have that God has offered and we've looked at the power.
Of this salvation wasn't that an encouraging message.
When we came and we looked at Salvation, we saw its power that it holds and has in our lives.
and not only that is, we looked at that we went on and we saw that this salvation has been God's plan from the very beginning,
What an encouragement that was.
But if we look at the power and Plan of Salvation, Peter comes to verse 13.
And he begins with therefore,

How's that for a little vacation, huh?
I don't do it often but it really work this time.
But this morning, we are going to look at the purpose of our Salvation was.
So what so to speak of why God has given us this wonderful salvation, there is a response that you and I should have This hole that we have, should engage us to respond.
We're going to look this morning at our call to action.
We're going to look in and consider our conduct in light of the cost.
That's why our Salvation came at a cost.
and then we'll look at the focus mindset that you and I should have
Peter, as he's been writing this letter,

To those, he's writing to.
A tone of comfort and assurance.
And at times, it is almost appraised of the god that we have the very quickly as we look at our versus this morning.
But tone changes,
Is Peter is sharing with us what God has put on his heart.
The tongue goes from one of encouragement to engagement.
There is something that we need to do Church.
Peter's drawing that out for us.
You know what I like about Peter.
He gets straight to the point.
He does not mince words.
He realizes that time is short and he's just going to say it how it is.
And so as we look at this, this tone of Engagement
We're going to see that there is a life that you and I are to live.

And over the years sometimes, the church is actually bought into that.
And they go Wednesday seclude themselves from the world around them.
No.
Peter here is not calling out a retreat.

Peter is loudly declaring a battle charge.
