Part 2 of Spirit Wars
Good moring
& Happy Mothers Day
We have a token of appreciation for all you Mom’s, Mom’s to be, and moms who wanna be at the end of the service.
Please know you are loved and appreciated.
None of us would be here with out a Mom!
Today I want to carry on to part 2 of our Spirit Wars series.
In part 1 I did a overview of the series.
Using the example of Job, and how his struggles were a direct result of a spiritual conflict that he was completely unaware was going on.
As the apostle Paul stated many times
“I do not want you to be unaware”
I purpose that many of the struggles we face in life are compunded by an ignorance on our part of what is happening in the Spiritual rhealm.
but unlike Job who was limited in what he could do against the enemies plans
we do not have the limitation.
in fact we have all the Authority and Power required to overcome the evil one!
our only limitation is our ignorance
In an effort to allieviate this ignorance I feel its best we allow Holy Spirit to inform us as only He can.
ill
I’ve had this song going through my head all week.
We sang it alot in the 90’s but not very much since
I beleive it came out of the brownsville revival
Well, I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me (x3)
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me
You know
He's under my feet (x6)
Satan is under my feet
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me (x3)
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me
You know
He's under my feet (x6)
Satan is under my feet
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me (x3)
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me
You know
He's under my feet (x6)
Satan is under my feet
The theme for this series is found in Eph 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
In order to defeat the enemies plans here on earth Holy Spirit is waiting for us to do our part.
I believe the 1st step in this is for each believer to know and walk in their idenity
For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;
and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Pray
If I was to ask you
Who are you?
How would you respond?
many would respond with the name, but if I asked you to go a little deeper what would you say?
Would you respond with a title or position I’m a engineer or I’m a Pastor
Would you respond by something that defines a relationship. father/ mother
Would you respond by a nationality. Canadian,
For many people....How you define yourself can determine how their life works out for them
If someone defines themself in a positive manner, decent chance they will succeed
If you define yourself in a negative light, most probably you will fail at alot of the things you attempt
to the point where you just stop trying.
The problem is when we define ourselves in human terms that’s always open to change.
If you define youself according to your career, what happens if you loose your job?
If you define youself according to your relationship husband, father, mother, wife
What happens to your identitty when you face struggles in those relationships?
If you define yourself by a nationality what happens when the leaders of the country do something really stupid?
We have to be very carfeful how we define ourselves
We need to have a clear understanding of who we are.
“Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
“Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?
“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Before we help others discover who they are, we must first have a certainty of who we are.
Before we begin to anything of eterenal value we must understand who we are!
When the enemy attacks you
he quite often will attack either your belief in God’s Love for you
or secondly your identity.
Your identity is founded in the one who created you. And it based on God love for you
God Love’s You
God Love’s You
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Never doubt God’s love for you.
If He doesn’t love you, He would have to change who He is
The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
This is a big hurtle for many believers.
Simply accepting this truth can change everything in your life
How?
It changes your perspective.
It brings you into a reality of agreement with the Kingdom of God

If you want to learn more about a painting
who would be the best person to talk to?
A critic, an art dealer, or the painter who created the painting.
Sure a critic or dealer may know something about it.
the the painter know it the best!
far too often we allow our perception to be molded by the critic or the dealer.
when we should be going directly to the source.
If you want to know Who you are? the best place to go is the one who created you.
and I’m not talking about your mother!
Now we can’t cover everthing God created you to be today.
but we can get you going down the right path.
tool:
if you go to mykwc.ca
click on the “identity in Christ” tab
and leads you to a page on Pastor Trevors website that allows you to personalize your identity in Christ
You can select if your a man/woman then enter you name
its a wonderful tool to personalise the thoughts God thinks about you
Today I would like to tackle the universal 3 Identity statements
If you can accept these 3 truths in your own life
you will prevent the enemy from getting a foothold in your life.
Identity Statement #1: I Need Nothing (vv. 31-32)
Identity Statement #1: I Need Nothing (vv. 31-32)
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
Because God is for us there is no overcoming force
Because God is for us there is no overcoming force
Because God did not spare His Son, He will give us all the other promises He made
Because God did not spare His Son, He will give us all the other promises He made
who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
II. Identity Statement #2: Jesus’ Opinion is the Only One that Matters (vv. 33-34)
II. Identity Statement #2: Jesus’ Opinion is the Only One that Matters (vv. 33-34)
Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;
who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
III. Identity Statement #3: I am Secure (vv. 35-39)
III. Identity Statement #3: I am Secure (vv. 35-39)
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Just as it is written,
“For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
There is not a “who” that can separate us
There is not a “who” that can separate us
There is not a “what” that can separate us
There is not a “what” that can separate us
In fact, we are more than conquerors
In fact, we are more than conquerors
1. Two states of existence: life and death
2. No spiritual power: angels, principalities, and powers
3. No temporal condition: things present and things to come
4. No special location: things above or things below
5. Nor any other created thing
Are they servants of Christ?—I speak as if insane—I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.
Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes.
Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep.
I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren;
I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.
Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches.
Who is weak without my being weak? Who is led into sin without my intense concern?
I encourage you to take some time and meditate on the sciptures with the tool
This topic of Identity is a topic that I have covered many times over the years.
there are many messages on kway.tv and youtube giveing perspective to this topic.
There’s an expression
You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink
I can preach dozens of sermon on your identity, but what it really comes down to is
do you choose to beleive it
God know who you are.
and He has reveled it throughout His scriptures.
Its now up to you to embrace it.
Stop believing the lies the enemy speakes about you. and instead embrace the truth of who yo really are.
