Part 2 of Spirit Wars
Good moring
& Happy Mothers Day
We have a token of appreciation for all you Mom’s, Mom’s to be, and moms who wanna be at the end of the service.
Please know you are loved and appreciated.
None of us would be here with out a Mom!
Today I want to carry on to part 2 of our Spirit Wars series.
In part 1 I did a overview of the series.
Using the example of Job, and how his struggles were a direct result of a spiritual conflict that he was completely unaware was going on.
As the apostle Paul stated many times
“I do not want you to be unaware”
I purpose that many of the struggles we face in life are compunded by an ignorance on our part of what is happening in the Spiritual rhealm.
but unlike Job who was limited in what he could do against the enemies plans
we do not have the limitation.
in fact we have all the Authority and Power required to overcome the evil one!
our only limitation is our ignorance
In an effort to allieviate this ignorance I feel its best we allow Holy Spirit to inform us as only He can.
ill
I’ve had this song going through my head all week.
We sang it alot in the 90’s but not very much since
I beleive it came out of the brownsville revival
Well, I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me (x3)
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me
You know
He's under my feet (x6)
Satan is under my feet
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me (x3)
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me
You know
He's under my feet (x6)
Satan is under my feet
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me (x3)
I went to the enemy's camp and
I took back what he stole from me
You know
He's under my feet (x6)
Satan is under my feet
The theme for this series is found in Eph 6:12
In order to defeat the enemies plans here on earth Holy Spirit is waiting for us to do our part.
I believe the 1st step in this is for each believer to know and walk in their idenity
Pray
If I was to ask you
Who are you?
How would you respond?
many would respond with the name, but if I asked you to go a little deeper what would you say?
Would you respond with a title or position I’m a engineer or I’m a Pastor
Would you respond by something that defines a relationship.
father/ mother
Would you respond by a nationality.
Canadian,
For many people....How you define yourself can determine how their life works out for them
If someone defines themself in a positive manner, decent chance they will succeed
If you define yourself in a negative light, most probably you will fail at alot of the things you attempt
to the point where you just stop trying.
The problem is when we define ourselves in human terms that’s always open to change.
If you define youself according to your career, what happens if you loose your job?
If you define youself according to your relationship husband, father, mother, wife
What happens to your identitty when you face struggles in those relationships?
If you define yourself by a nationality what happens when the leaders of the country do something really stupid?
We have to be very carfeful how we define ourselves
We need to have a clear understanding of who we are.
Before we help others discover who they are, we must first have a certainty of who we are.
Before we begin to anything of eterenal value we must understand who we are!
When the enemy attacks you
he quite often will attack either your belief in God’s Love for you
or secondly your identity.
Your identity is founded in the one who created you.
And it based on God love for you
God Love’s You
Never doubt God’s love for you.
If He doesn’t love you, He would have to change who He is
This is a big hurtle for many believers.
Simply accepting this truth can change everything in your life
How?
It changes your perspective.
It brings you into a reality of agreement with the Kingdom of God
Our Identity
If you want to learn more about a painting
who would be the best person to talk to?
A critic, an art dealer, or the painter who created the painting.
Sure a critic or dealer may know something about it.
the the painter know it the best!
far too often we allow our perception to be molded by the critic or the dealer.
when we should be going directly to the source.
If you want to know Who you are? the best place to go is the one who created you.
and I’m not talking about your mother!
Now we can’t cover everthing God created you to be today.
but we can get you going down the right path.
