Romans 5:10

No matter what the enemy may be, there is some aspect of it that can bring glory and honor to God.
It is the defeat of that enemy that reveals this.
Who are our real enemies?
What is the ENEMIES that we face on an almost daily basis?

I. Temper.

Ephesians 4:26 AV
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

II. Weakness.

Philippians 4:13 AV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
2 Corinthians 12:9–10 AV
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

III. Carnal Ambition.

Acts 8:1 AV
And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Acts 13:9 AV
Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,

IV. Rebellion.

Daniel 9:5 AV
We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
Daniel 9:9 AV
To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

V. People.

Proverbs 17:11 AV
An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.

VI. Satan.

Job 1:6-12
Conclusion:
Your enemies bring you closer to the Lord.
God used Judas to deliver Jesus to the cross.
When circumstances are against us, God says, “I will be an enemy unto thine enemies” (Exodus 23:22).
To know my enemy is the first step, but it is only the first step. Encountering my enemy at first intimidates me and can tempt me to want to quit. But when I see my enemy from God’s point of view, my heart is filled with rejoicing because that enemy only reveals to me the amazing grace of God in my life. For He promises, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 54:17).
