Product of a Promise
In 2011 I had pleaded with the Lord to make as David… I had come to learn David had moments in which he was not the squeaky clean person I had known him to be.
David married multiple women, committed adultery, lied to the priests, commits murder, does a terrible job raising his kids, there were so many reasons for God to not choose David.
He did have one thing going for him and we can argue it is the most important thing one can have.
Even in the midst of his mess he is known as a man after God’s own heart.
While there were things he did that I did not do, I thought if God names him in such a way He could do the same for me.
This is a prayer that was prayed in the quiet secret place, when it was spoken over me the pastor didnt know me and simply spoke the word the Lord gave to him.
To be known as a person after God’s own heart You must completely surrender to God

Complete surrender is what we see in Psalm 51:17 a humble spirit, broken heart for the things that have broken His heart, a full acknowledgement that without God no amount of people who like us will satisfy.
God’s desire is that we acknowledge and fully depend on Him.
To fully accept and step into the calling He has for us in His will and to progress His will over our own…
