The next two chapters really represent newness of life.
The last chapter we saw the defeat of Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet all in the Lake of Fire.
The great White Throne Judgement - those who want nothing to do with Jesus get what they want.
It really represents the righteous judgement’s of God
There is no getting away from God’s justice for the unrighteous
For the righteous, it is to live with Christ for eternity. WOW
The book of Revelation starts with hope and ends with hope.
It is also a glimpse into heaven.
Quotes
God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile. “Max Lucado
Joy is the serious business of Heaven. - C.S. Lewis
Can you tell a plain man the road to heaven? Certainly, turn at once to the right, then go straight forward.- William Wilberforce
D.L. Moody wrote a book about it titled

HEAVEN:

WHERE IT IS, ITS INHABITANTS, AND HOW TO GET THERE

In it he says Earth is the home of sin. Heaven is the home of the soul As a dead man cannot inherit an estate, no more can a dead soul inherit heaven.
Heaven: Where It Is, Its Inhabitants, and How to Get There (Chapter II: Its Inhabitants) g H. Revell, 1884), 29.
He also said
Heaven: Where It Is, Its Inhabitants, and How to Get There (Chapter II: Its Inhabitants)
There are a good many kinds of aristocracy in this world, but the aristocracy of heaven will be the aristocracy of holiness.
Lets start by reading Rev 21
Revelation 21 ESV
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” 5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” 9 Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed— 13 on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And the one who spoke with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. 16 The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia. Its length and width and height are equal. 17 He also measured its wall, 144 cubits by human measurement, which is also an angel’s measurement. 18 The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. 22 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, 25 and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there. 26 They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. 27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
WOW

New Heaven - New Earth
This present one will be redeemed - all remnants of sin and death removed.
Not resurrected but NEW - A new order
Isaiah 51:6 NASB95
“Lift up your eyes to the sky, Then look to the earth beneath; For the sky will vanish like smoke, And the earth will wear out like a garment And its inhabitants will die in like manner; But My salvation will be forever, And My righteousness will not wane.
Creation has been looking for a new start - It crys out
Romans 8:18–23 NASB95
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
In Heaven
We will all have new bodies - Someone say AMEN Thank You Jesus.
In Heaven will have New Worship - again
In heaven you will have joy
New Jerusalem
Prepared in advance
It is a Holy City - this is a permanent city - the old and the new brought together for ever. No one will be able to destroy it. No one will lay seige against it. The sands of time will not destroy it.
This heavenly jerusalem descends from heaven - All the saints before us are there - there heavenly abode comes back to a new earth mode.
It is a city of beauty like a bride coming down the isle.
The throne and the city now become one. Mankind is forever invited to live with the king.
We are Holy residents - the homeland of the saints
Why because we are His children. - where else would we live?
Interesting point -our faith will be turned into sight. We will see Jesus
Jesus says to doubting Thomas
John 20:29Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
We are a blessed people - AMEN
The City is covered by Gods glory
Radiant and beautiful
High Walls
It was built on the foundation of the 12 apostles
Joining of the old and New - Amazing
12 Gates made of pearls and never shut - with 12 angels - there is a lot of 12’s in Revelation - at the Gates 12 angels which represent the 12 tribes.
Why never shut? - Access to God will never again be veiled
Built on 12 foundations - Gods covenant to Abraham
It looks like a cube, High as it is wide and long (1380- 1500 miles each) New York to London as one pastor said
Big enough for all ( is really the meaning behind the measurement)
Built out of pure gold like transparent glass adorned with jewels ( mostly diamonds)
Interesting there is no temple - What because it is not man made- God doesn’t need a temple - He is the temple.
The temple represents the presence of God - When Gods presence comes down there will be no need of a temple.
No more veil - no more separation -Thank You Jesus
He is the radiance of light.
By His light we will walk
Not just New Heaven and New Earth but New Life
New Life
As I stated earlier
No more tears - Just tears of Joy ( remember this was read to the seven churches in Asia Minor- they were under persecution - so this meant a lot to them).
No more death - Just life - death abolished forever - earlier scripture said, death and hades were thrown into the lake of fire
No more mourning - sorrow turned into laughter
No more crying - emotional utterance of pure joy
No more pain -
All things NEW ! AMEN
When Christ died he said it is finished - when the new city arrives God says it is done. - The great I Am has accomplished all he said he was going to do.
Who are these Heavenly Residents?
The one who conquers - the one who wins the battle - he who overcomes
Revelation 2:7 NASB95
‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’
The ones written in the book of life
The bride of Christ
Those transformed into his likeness
Those who are resting in his presence - AMEN
Those patiently waiting for the return of Christ
Who are not the residents?
Cowardly - afraid and fearful
Faithless - those who deny the truth of the Gospel
Detestable - improper shameless attitude
Murders -
Sexually Immoral - everything from pornography to prostitution to Homosexuality
Sorcerers - potion makers - we get the word pharmacy
Idolaters - those who worship something other than the true God
Liars - deceptive people
How shall we then live?
2 Peter 3:10–13 NASB95
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
Ephesians 2:1–6 NASB95
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
We are in a season of transformation, becoming more like Christ every day.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB95
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
He are designed to live in Heaven with Jesus
Conclusion
No More Fear - Today is a message of Hope
Jesus says to the thirsty, I will give water at no price- Nothing that you can do to earn it. It is a gift to you. WOW.
Water is given to the thirsty one - AMEN - Are you thirsty?
Heaven is a gift
The satisfaction of a thirsty soul comes from God
How would you like Tears of Joy instead of tears of sorrow?
No more bondage just freedom
No more chaos - But now we have peace
This short time will turn into a long time
It is done - AMEN
Your future is secure.
Why, because Jesus is the beginning and the end - and he has no end.
