It is a Holy City - this is a permanent city - the old and the new brought together for ever.
No one will be able to destroy it.
No one will lay seige against it.
The sands of time will not destroy it.
This heavenly jerusalem descends from heaven - All the saints before us are there - there heavenly abode comes back to a new earth mode.
It is a city of beauty like a bride coming down the isle.
The throne and the city now become one.
Mankind is forever invited to live with the king.
We are Holy residents - the homeland of the saints

It was built on the foundation of the 12 apostles
Joining of the old and New - Amazing
12 Gates made of pearls and never shut - with 12 angels - there is a lot of 12’s in Revelation - at the Gates 12 angels which represent the 12 tribes.
Why never shut? - Access to God will never again be veiled
Built on 12 foundations - Gods covenant to Abraham
It looks like a cube, High as it is wide and long (1380- 1500 miles each) New York to London as one pastor said

Interesting there is no temple - What because it is not man made- God doesn’t need a temple - He is the temple.
The temple represents the presence of God - When Gods presence comes down there will be no need of a temple.
No more veil - no more separation -Thank You Jesus
He is the radiance of light.
By His light we will walk
Not just New Heaven and New Earth but New Life
New Life
As I stated earlier
No more tears - Just tears of Joy ( remember this was read to the seven churches in Asia Minor- they were under persecution - so this meant a lot to them).
No more death - Just life - death abolished forever - earlier scripture said, death and hades were thrown into the lake of fire
No more mourning - sorrow turned into laughter
No more crying - emotional utterance of pure joy
No more pain -
All things NEW !

When Christ died he said it is finished - when the new city arrives God says it is done.
