Introduction

The scene is set before Daniel. On one side he has seen four beasts and a horn from the fourth beast that speaking great and pompous words. Then he was ushered into Heaven where he saw God, whom he refers to as the Ancient of Days, with His Heavenly Counsel about to pronounce judgment. The imagery of the throne room echoes that of Isaiah and Ezekiel and the imagery of these three prophets are later echoed by John as he wrote Revelation.
Daniel 7:9–10 NKJV
“I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.
The throne room of Almighty God, the King of kings and the Lord of lords! The Judgment on the Beasts was about to commence.

The Horn Continues to Speak

Daniel 7:11 NKJV
“I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.
