12  For innumerable evils have bcompassed me about:

cMine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up;

ccThey are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore dmy heart †faileth me.

4 You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Christians do not be weighted-down by your iniquities; rather acknowledge them to Christ Jesus, acknowledge them to God our Heavenly Father and then repent of them, and Christ Jesus and God our Heavenly Father are faithful to forgive us, when we repent. With repentance, the great gift Christ Jesus brought into the world, we will then have Christ Jesus’s peace.
