How often do you get more than you ask for or expect?
Or get something you did not ask for or expect?
(Truly ask the questions and wait for any possible answers)
Man came with questions and left with more questions about eternal life.

In our passage tonight and the next couple of weeks we are going to get into the words of Jesus and His words are more than what the people expected or even wanted.
Tonight we look at the words of Jesus to the people.
Words to learn from
May we take the time to read our passage and glean from it, then look at what we can learn, take away from it.
Let’s pause there for a moment and see what we see from there then go on.
What observations did you make (vv.26-31)?
Why did Jesus say they were seeking Him (v.26)?
What does Jesus tell them to work for, and who will provide it (v.27)?
What is the work of God (v.29)?
What did the people want from Jesus, and why (v.30)?
Let’s press on gleaning
What general observations do you make of (vv.32-40)?
Who is the giver mentioned in (v.32)?
What is the bread of God (v.33)?
Who does Jesus say He is, and what does He offer (v.35)?
Where did Jesus come from and why (v.38)?

So, now may we focus on a few things in our time together this evening
Right food (6:25-30)
Right bread (6:31-38)
Right Will (6:39-40)
Right Food

Food, air, water are the things that sustain us in this life, right?
But the right food is good for you.

The people ask a question, when did You get here, when in reality they wanted to know how did you get here.

Jesus answers the question not with the truth, “well I walked on the water across the sea, stopped to help the disciples, got in the boat, calmed the storm and transported them instantly to the other side.

Can you remember why the miracles, the signs, the wonders were done and where you find the answer?
