Born Again

John 3:3 NASB95
Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:5 NASB95
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Water ++ physical birth
Spirit ++ spiritual birth
John 3:8 NASB95
“The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Faith

John 3:14 NASB95
“As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
John 3:18 NASB95
“He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:21 NASB95
“But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”
1 John 5:4 NASB95
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
2 Corinthians 13:5 NASB95
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?
We know we are of God if...
1 John 3:1
1 John 3:18 NASB95
Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.
1 John 4:7 NASB95
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Yoked with Christ
A yoke serves several purposes. It enables the team to go in the same direction. Often, young bulls are yoked with Older bulls in order that the younger can learn from the older.
The idea of taking on the yoke of Christ also infers that one will go with, or continue with Him, readily submitting not only to the learning but to the will of Christ in this course of life. This is the change that begins at the “new birth” of a person from worldly minded goals and ambitions to Godly glorifying opportunities with the Love of God at the forefront.
1 John 5:1 NASB95
Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
Submission
1 John 5:2 NASB95
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
1 John 5:3 NASB95
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
Abiding in Christ
1 John 3:6 NASB95
No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
1 John 3:15 NASB95
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Commitment
John 8:31 NASB95
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;
John 8:32 NASB95
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
James 1:27 NASB95
Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary on the Bible (Revelation 1:1)
Those are well employed who search the Bible. It is not enough that we read and hear, but we must keep the things that are written, in our memories, in our minds, in our affections, and in practice, and we shall be blessed in the deed.
