3. Is in our Bible Lord=Adonai
“someone or something having power, authority, or influence; a master or ruler.”
noun from the verb “to rule” or “to possess”. Literally possessor/ruler. But Adonai is the possessive/genitive form so it means “my lord” but more literally = ‘You are mine and I am Yours’
We Live to know HIM AND MAKE HIM KNOWN
CONNECT NUMBER
Importance of Connect
Daily Encounter guide
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
One body:
One Body many functions
We need each other
Not a building but the people
Physical body
Celestial body
is used of a (large or small) number of men closely united into one society, or family as it were; a social, ethical, mystical body
New Testament church
Gifting:
Our body or church is here to help you discover what your function is but that doesn’t come with being disconnected
Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread. So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.
Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.
One church:
Ekklesia
in a Christian sense
an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting
Bearing with one another
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
Bear with one another’s burdens
heaviness, weight, burden, trouble
Vs 5:
phortion-
which refers to an individual burden that is not transferable. We each have certain obligations for which we alone are responsible.
We all have things that we have to carry but we have people who are put into our lives to help us handle those things
Here are some people who have done just that
We didn’t have to
Didn’t have to Look very far to find them:
Simply put, the elders should be peacemakers, prayer warriors, teachers, leaders by example.
Prayer:
Wisdom favor, strength and endurance, calling to walk in a new anointing and new grace one their life
