Looking for a God Moment

Kevin T. Brown / General

pt:Revival / Jeremiah 8:20

Are we really saved? The words of the prophet Jeremiah makes a distictive connection between a passing harvest and our salvation. It is time for a God moment, for a fresh awakening of the Body of Christ to the passing harvest.

Revival Starts Here

What is Revival? True Revival is  connected  to the  Harvest

Jeremiah 8:20–22 KJV 1900

The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me. Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

The Harvest is Passed

Genesis 8:22 KJV 1900

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Unchanging  Conditions  Seedtime &  Harvest   We must be  aware  of the  time.

John 4:35 KJV 1900

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

What happens when harvest is delayed? The fruit  over ripens  The fruit  falls  to the ground The fruit  spoils

Daniel 7:25 KJV 1900

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Daniel speaks of the enemy's strategy He speaks against the most high He shall wear out the saints

How will he where them out? Changing the times Changing the laws

Now is not the time to Delay

John 4:35 KJV 1900

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

We must change what we say Don't say We have plenty of time The the harvest is coming soon

We must act now Open our eyes Look on the field The field is ready for harvest

What happens when harvest is delayed? The fruit over ripens The fruit falls to the ground The fruit spoils

There can be no  revival  without a  harvest .

The Summer is  ended  The Summer is the  time  for harvest The Summer is the  right  time

Jeremiah 8:20 KJV 1900

The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

The Summer is ended The Summer is the Time for harvest Right time

We are not Saved

Salvation results from a

A revival is a  spiritual  awakening that  activates  us to the  Harvest  Our  salvation  is connected to the  harvest

Read Luke 10:2

Luke 10:2 KJV 1900

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

We need a God Moment

"Revival  Starts  Here"

Revival is not an  activity  of the  Heart  is an  action  upon the  Heart

Romans 10:10 KJV 1900

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Revival does not start in the  heart

Man's heart is evil Genesis 8:21 fainted Genesis 42:26 can be hardened Exodus 14:22 Grieved 1 Samuel 1:8 Deceived Deuteronomy 11:16 foolish Romans 1:21

Genesis 8:21 KJV 1900

And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

Romans 1:21 KJV 1900

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Revival starts in the  middle  of the God Moment. It's a  Kairos  moment A moment when God places his  signature  on an activity.

Read Acts 2:1-4

Acts 2:1–4 KJV 1900

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Revival starts in a  place  of  Unity  They  recognized  the  time  They were in  one Place  with  one accord .

We need some " Suddenly  moment"

This would be a

 Promise  Fulfilled

Acts 1:8 KJV 1900

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Salvation is about  divine  power that is  connected  to the  Harvest   The  Harvest  is the key element of  salvation

Without harvest salvation is inward focused

Read Ephesians 2:1-5

Ephesians 2:1–5 KJV 1900

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

He (God) has  quickened  you, you and I were  dead , We were  lost , We were  captive  But God, Rich in  Mercy , Great in  love
