Matthew 25:16–18 “Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more talents. 17“In the same manner the one who had received the two talents gained two more. 18“But he who received the one talent 16 went away, and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. See, you have what is yours.’ 25 Matthew 25:24–28 26 “But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather where I scattered no seed. 27‘Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. Matthew 25:24–28 ‘Therefore take away the talent from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’ 28 A Poured Out Life Matthew 25:29–30 29 “For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. 30“Throw out the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. A Poured Out Life Matthew 25:34-40 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 34 Matthew 25:34-40 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 36 Matthew 25:34-40 ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 38 Matthew 25:34-40 “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I 40 say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ A Poured Out Life Alexander the Great “Bury my body, do not build any monument, keep my hands outside so that the world knows the person who won the world had nothing in his hands when dying.” Hugo Grotius "I have accomplished nothing worthwhile in my life." Robert Louis Stevenson Here lies one who meant well who tried a little and failed much." Cecil Rhodes "So little done, so much to do!” Jesus Christ “It is finished!” Ephesians 2:8–10 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
