This is a chance to be a part of something way bigger than yourself

You are God’s plan for the world.

Marvel at that.

Exodus 19:5–6 CSB 5 Now if you will carefully listen to me and keep my covenant, you will be my own possession out of all the peoples, although the whole earth is mine, 6 and you will be my kingdom of priests and my holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”

Following God’s Pattern — he will bless it

“so that they may serve me as priests”

Seek first the Kingdom of God

Put God first, but giving, serving, loving

What is the fallen condition focus?

The Fallen Condition Focus (FCF) is the mutual human condition that contemporary believers share with those to or about whom the text was written that requires the grace of the passage for God’s people to glorify and enjoy him.

We invest in things for our own blessing.

Here’s the problem

We are called to invest in God’s kingdom but we don’t.

Here’s what we must do

Invest in the Kingdom by being God’s presence on Earth

Why we can’t do it

We are sinful and selfish and seek to only bless ourselves

How Jesus accomplish this for us

Jesus came and showed us the way and empowers us to be his ambassadors

How though faith in Jesus should we live now

Marveling at the great gift of God’s presence we can by his power invest in the kingdom.

Why does God calls people to give an offering for the Lord

Why does God gives instructions for the tabernacle

God gives vast instructions about the building of the tabernacle that must be followed according to the pattern revealed. 

God gives instructions for how worship is to occur for the Israelites

How they will be his people and they will be their God.

What is it supposed to look like?

Why does God take an offering from the people to build the tabernacle according to the exact pattern?

Why does God give instruction for conducting proper worship?

God gives instructions so that they can worship him and he can dwell with them.

Exegetical Idea: A distillation of life that abstracts out of the particulars of experience what they have in common and relates them to one another. An Idea consists of a subject and a complement.

There are blessings in investing in the Kingdom of God

Purpose of Your Sermon: The purpose states what you expect to happen in your hearers as a result of preaching your sermon. The “So that…”

Why are you preaching this sermon?

So people would see the Glory of God’s plan for them and invest their lives in God’s Kingdom
