God is a God who delights in doing new things. Even with broken, old people, God can do new things. Be refreshed and encouraged as Pastor Dave brings this message from Isaiah.

We live in a world obsessed with novelty. We think that we can escape the 'same old-same old' with new things, or a 'new you'. The problem is, we never really change. In Isaiah 42, we're introduced to the LORD's new servant, who succeeds where the old one failed. And through this servant, the LORD will do amazing new things for his people.

It's a new year, and it may better, or worse, than last year. What we do know, however, is that one day God will make all things new. This perspective will help us to face the new year with peace, joy and hope.

This week, as the holidays come to a close, we'll be finishing up those leftovers. Turkey or stuffing with cranberry sauce and mayo on a dinner roll; almost as delicious as Christmas dinner! But as good as leftovers are, they're never as good as the real thing! 2017 was an amazing year and we should savour the memories. But let's not savour the past so much, that we forget to embrace the New Year. Let's prepare for the next celebration!
