1 Corintios 12:1–7 (RVR60)

1 No quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis acerca de los dones espirituales.

2 Sabéis que cuando erais gentiles, se os extraviaba llevándoos, como se os llevaba, a los ídolos mudos.

3 Por tanto, os hago saber que nadie que hable por el Espíritu de Dios llama anatema a Jesús; y nadie puede llamar a Jesús Señor, sino por el Espíritu Santo.

4 Ahora bien, hay diversidad de dones, pero el Espíritu es el mismo.

5 Y hay diversidad de ministerios, pero el Señor es el mismo.

6 Y hay diversidad de operaciones, pero Dios, que hace todas las cosas en todos, es el mismo.

7 Pero a cada uno le es dada la manifestación del Espíritu para provecho.

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:

2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.

3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.

Tener fe en la promesa del Señor; esta promesa es para los salvos, para los hijos de Dios.

Have faith in the promise of the Lord; this promise is for the saved, for the children of God.

-El bautismo con el Espíritu Santo no es una condición para la salvación; es una promesa para los salvos. No se puede ser salvo si no se es hijo de Dios.

-Baptism with the Holy Spirit is not a condition for salvation; it is a promise for the saved. You cannot be saved if you are not a child of God.

La obra progresiva del Espíritu Santo | The ongoing work of the Holy Spirit

1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

-El bautismo en el Espíritu Santo es como una puerta que da entrada a una relación más profunda con Dios y a una unidad con los demás miembros del cuerpo de Cristo.

Resultados del Espíritu Santo | Results of the Holy Spirit

-Las evidencias de la manifestación del Espíritu Santo en la vida del creyente se refleja en los siguientes resultados:

1) Mayor profundidad en la revelación, la reverencia y la adoración | Greater depth in revelation, reverence, and worship.

7 Mas hablamos sabiduría de Dios en misterio, la sabiduría oculta, la cual Dios predestinó antes de los siglos para nuestra gloria,

8 la que ninguno de los príncipes de este siglo conoció; porque si la hubieran conocido, nunca habrían crucificado al Señor de gloria.

9 Antes bien, como está escrito: Cosas que ojo no vio, ni oído oyó, Ni han subido en corazón de hombre, Son las que Dios ha preparado para los que le aman.

10 Pero Dios nos las reveló a nosotros por el Espíritu; porque el Espíritu todo lo escudriña, aun lo profundo de Dios.

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,

8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written:“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of manThe things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

-Un efecto importante que evidencia la presencia del Espíritu Santo en el creyente es el deseo por una consagración intensa a Dios. Cuando tenemos al Espíritu de Dios, sentimos un amor más intenso por el Señor y por Su palabra.

-An important effect that evidences the presence of the Holy Spirit in the believer is the desire for an intense consecration to God. When we have the Spirit of God, we feel a more intense love for the Lord and for His word.

-Es el Espíritu en nosotros quien produce una plenitud desbordante de la presencia de Dios. Jesús habló de “ríos de agua viva” al referirse a la presencia del Espíritu Santo en nosotros.

-It is the Spirit in us who produces an overflowing fullness of the presence of God. Jesus spoke of “rivers of living water” when referring to the presence of the Holy Spirit in us.

2) El impulso a la evangelización | The impulse to evangelize

-El Espíritu Santo produce compasión por los que aún no son salvos, y un deseo de predicar sin tener temor a la oposición.

-The Holy Spirit produces compassion for those who are not yet saved, and a desire to preach without fear of opposition.

29 Y ahora, Señor, mira sus amenazas, y concede a tus siervos que con todo denuedo hablen tu palabra,

30 mientras extiendes tu mano para que se hagan sanidades y señales y prodigios mediante el nombre de tu santo Hijo Jesús.

31 Cuando hubieron orado, el lugar en que estaban congregados tembló; y todos fueron llenos del Espíritu Santo, y hablaban con denuedo la palabra de Dios.

29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

3) Un deseo de servicio y dedicación a la obra de Dios | A desire to serve and dedicate oneself to the work of God

-El Espíritu Santo despierta un sentido de unidad y de servicio en la iglesia.

-The Holy Spirit awakens a sense of unity and service in the church.

Hechos de los Apóstoles 2:42–47 (NBLA)

42 Y se dedicaban continuamente a las enseñanzas de los apóstoles, a la comunión, al partimiento del pan y a la oración.

43 Sobrevino temor a toda persona; y muchos prodigios y señales se hacían por los apóstoles.

44 Todos los que habían creído estaban juntos y tenían todas las cosas en común;

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.

45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,

47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

-El Señor reparte a cada creyente diferentes “dones” o “capacidades especiales” (dones espirituales), los cuales son operados para la edificación de la iglesia.

4) El fruto del Espíritu | The fruit of the Spirit

-El efecto preponderante y que representa la plenitud de la obra del Espíritu Santo es la expresión del fruto en el carácter del creyente.

-The predominant effect that represents the fullness of the work of the Holy Spirit is the expression of the fruit in the character of the believer.

Gálatas 5:22–25 (NTV)

22 En cambio, la clase de fruto que el Espíritu Santo produce en nuestra vida es: amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, gentileza, bondad, fidelidad,

23 humildad y control propio. ¡No existen leyes contra esas cosas!

24 Los que pertenecen a Cristo Jesús han clavado en la cruz las pasiones y los deseos de la naturaleza pecaminosa y los han crucificado allí.

25 Ya que vivimos por el Espíritu, sigamos la guía del Espíritu en cada aspecto de nuestra vida.

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

-Una persona (un padre) llena del Espíritu Santo es una influencia por el poder de Dios en el ambiente en el que se encuentre.

-A person (a father) filled with the Holy Spirit is an influence by the power of God in the environment in which he finds himself.

El Espíritu Santo es una realidad para los hijos de Dios, la cual perfecciona en la plenitud parte importante dentro de la obra de Dios en nosotros.

The Holy Spirit is a reality for the children of God, which perfects in fullness an important part of the work of God in us.
